I'm Matthew Garrett, an award-winning magician, wedding host and master of ceremonies with a passion for creating unforgettable moments at weddings, corporate events and private celebrations across Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire, the UK and internationally.
A Childhood
Fascination.
My love of magic began at the age of 13, performing at care homes and charity events.
I was fortunate to be mentored by the late Richard Stupple, former Chairman of The Magic Circle, whose guidance helped turn a childhood fascination into a lifelong career entertaining audiences around the world.
What started as a hobby very quickly became the thing I knew I wanted to spend my life doing.
Learning.
Performing.
Growing.
Those early years were about performing whenever I could, learning how audiences react and gradually discovering the type of performer I wanted to become.
Over time, that experience led to opportunities to perform at increasingly varied events and venues, while continuing to develop original magic of my own.
Magic gave me a way of connecting with people — and that has always been the part I enjoy most.

To Award Winner.
Today, I'm proud to be a Member of The Inner Magic Circle with Gold Star — an honour held by fewer than 250 magicians worldwide — and the recipient of The Magic Circle Close-Up Magician of the Year award.
I've also lectured at The Magic Circle, served as President of the Northamptonshire Magicians' Club and created original magic that's performed by magicians across the globe.

Around The World.
Although many people know me for my wedding work, my career has taken me far beyond the UK. I've been privileged to perform in countries including the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Turkey, Spain, France, Italy, Norway, Germany, Ireland and the United States.
Those performances have included luxury hotels, major corporate events, multi-million-pound yachts and audiences of more than 15,000 people.

Means Something More.
One experience that remains especially close to my heart came after the Grenfell Tower tragedy, when I was invited to entertain affected families and the local community.
It was a powerful reminder that the real magic isn't the tricks themselves — it's bringing people together, creating smiles and helping make difficult or important moments just that little bit brighter.

And Magicians.
Alongside performing, I also enjoy sharing ideas with fellow magicians. My original routine, Ninja+, is used by performers around the world and even appeared on Penn & Teller: Fool Us.
This has led to lecture invitations throughout the UK, Europe and beyond, allowing me to combine performing with teaching and creativity.

Despite the awards, international travel and prestigious venues, the part of my job I value most has never changed.
Whether I'm entertaining guests during a wedding drinks reception, hosting an awards ceremony or performing at an intimate family celebration, my aim is always the same: to create genuine moments of amazement, laughter and memories that people will still be talking about long after the event has finished.
