That thinking led to original creations including Ninja+, GiR and Ninja Fusion, as well as new approaches to performing linking ring magic only inches from spectators.

Begin with an established plot that audiences already understand — in this case, solid rings apparently passing through one another.
Make It Relevant Today
Question the old assumptions. What feels dated? Where does suspicion arise? How would today's audience expect the magic to look?
New Ideas. New Methods.
Experiment with different methods, props, timings and moments until the routine becomes something personal rather than an imitation.
Make Your Own Magic Stronger
Take the same process — questioning, structuring, varying methods, timing and adding originality — and apply it to effects you already perform.

Decide what the audience should understand, when the impossibility should build and where the strongest moment belongs.
Avoid allowing the audience to create a single explanation by changing how apparently similar moments are achieved.
Separate the secret action from the magical moment so the audience remembers an effect that feels cleaner than the method.
Understand how eye contact and natural attention can guide where spectators look without making the direction feel artificial.
Every movement should have a reason. Matthew's principle: never waste a trip to your pocket.
Move beyond copying a routine and ask what you can change in method, structure or presentation to make the effect genuinely yours.
