The Magic Room A Local Magic Community
Matthew didn't simply perform around Wellingborough — he also established and ran The Magic Room in nearby Great Doddington.
Created during the lockdown period, the club developed into a meeting place where magicians could learn, practise, exchange ideas and improve their performances together.

Helping Magicians Develop Their Craft
Matthew founded The Magic Room and served as its President, creating a friendly environment where local performers could work on new material, test ideas and develop stronger acts.
One of the aims was practical: helping performers take an idea and turn it into a polished routine or a strong ten-minute set they could confidently perform for a real audience.
Over its time in Great Doddington, The Magic Room hosted around 40 magic lectures, together with workshops, competitions, meetings, shows and social events. Professional performers shared their knowledge while members had somewhere locally to practise, perform and improve.
